Nursing in Practice is heading to Birmingham: Put 12 June in your diary!

Nurses in general practice and primary care will be meeting at the NCC in Birmingham in June to hear updates on a wide range of clinical and professional topics.

Nursing in Practice is delighted to be returning to Birmingham in 2025 for a one-day nursing conference plus exhibition.

Join us for free on Thursday 12 June to gain CPD, network with peers, and benefit from high quality clinical updates, all tailored for nurses working in primary care.

Speakers include Diane Porterfield-Bourne on perimenopause, advice to give women and an update on HRT; Dr Jo Howe, from Aston University, who will speak about medication and weight gain and managing overweight patients, and Alexsandra Gawlick-Lipinski, advanced nurse practitioner, speaking on managing paediatric coughs.

Hear about autism, patient challenges and reasonable adjustments to support neurodivergent patients in primary care, and go back to basics with our session about constipation – common causes, treatment options and patient education points.

Chairing the multi-stream event in Birmingham will be Nursing in Practice advisory board members Marilyn Eveleigh, a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor, and Helen Lewis, an advanced nurse practitioner, Queen’s Nurse, and independent prescriber. They will actively encourage questions and discussion, so you can get as more out of the sessions.

An exhibition will give delegates the chance to be updated with the latest information from industry.

To be at the event on 12 June at the NEC, simply register to reserve your place, and then collect your badge from our team when you arrive.

Delegates will have exclusive use of our Nursing in Practice event app on the day to help you navigate the programme and enable you to easily decide how to best spend your day.

Tickets are free for nurses working in primary care, and delegates will receive a certificate after the event, to help support your CPD records.
